Honouring 44 years of service to the Kinwarton Community

Former Councillor Margaret Moore was joined by former colleagues and current Kinwarton Parish Councillors on Saturday 21st March to unveil a plaque honouring her 44 years of service to the local community. The plaque sits beneath a newly planted cherry tree on the green in Winchcombe Road.

Chair of Kinwarton Parish Council, Gill Forman with Margaret Moore and the new plaque.

Since being elected, Margaret has been a steady, thoughtful presence  at the heart of parish life. She has given her time energy and care to matters small and large – from local planning decisions and community facilities to the everyday concerns that matter to local residents. Those who worked with her have spoken of her integrity and quiet determination to do what is right for the community. Margaret stood down from the Parish Council in 2025 and leaves a legacy that has shaped our Parish in countless ways.

Current Chair, Councillor Gill Forman (pictured) said

“Margaret’s service to Kinwarton is remarkable and shows how much one person can contribute over time. It reminds us that strong communities need people to listen and make a difference. We rely on their fresh ideas, new perspectives and shared commitment to the community. We thank Margaret wholeheartedly for everything she has given.”

Being involved on the Parish Council is a rewarding way to help your community thrive and ensure that local voices are heard. You don’t need prior experience- just a willingness to get involved. To find out more, please contact the Parish Clerk.

Retirement of Cllr Margaret Moore after 44 years

Margaret Moore has retired from Kinwarton Parish Council after an extraordinary 44 years of service to the parish, many of which she served as a thoughtful and diplomatic Chair of the council. She has worked tirelessly to represent her local community, aiming to ensure their needs and concerns are heard and addressed. She has helped serve as a link between residents and higher level councils, helping to improve the quality of life within the parish by advocating for local issues. We are extremely grateful for her hard work and hope she enjoys a well-earned rest, without thinking about hedges, pavements and dog bins!
